Dr. Bustamante only has privileges at Mercy Southwest Hospital
If your child is born at another hospital, the pediatrician on call will do any exams needed and will discharge the baby. Please make sure to get any and all discharge paperwork before visiting us. This way, we can be better informed and help you with any questions you may have.

We offer Circumcisions (up to 3 weeks old) and Tongue Clipping.
Ask our physicians if you are interested in more information about these procedures.
The hospital will inform you when you need to schedule your first check up with the doctor. Keep in mind that it is usually between 3-5 days after birth, unless told otherwise.
Remember to bring your insurance card, vaccine card, and any discharge paper work from the hospital.
Check with your insurance or human resource department to check on your newborn coverage.

There's nothing more important than your child's health, and a strong immune system starts at an early age. We recommend getting vaccinations and booster shots on time, always, but keeping up with your child's vaccinations can be a headache.
